“On That Note,” with Cellist Robert Cohen and Bonnie North of Lake
Effect on WUWM, has become a regular program on Milwaukee Public Radio
late in the morning on the first Monday of each month. WUWM has
created this new series for Robert and Bonnie to chat about music
and related topics throughout the year to include occasional live or
recorded musical examples. These will also be available for listening
on the internet and downloading as a podcast. Additionally, the Fine
Arts Quartet is to come to the WUWM studios to record some music and
chat for broadcast in advance of each of the Quartet’s UWM Zelazo
concerts.
DIAL Urban Milwaukee (previously known as Third Coast Digest) has published a preview of the Fine Art Quartets opening concert.
The review includes Robert Cohen’s reflection on guest artist soprano Ruth Rosique – an “exceptional artist … with great presence and flexibility.” … “able to sing in an instrumental way.”
Ralph Evans and Robert Cohen were interviewed by Bonnie North on Lake Effect.
They discussed the addition of violist Juan-Miguel Hernandez to the quartet and their first concert of the fall – Haydn’s Seven Last Words. Click here to hear the interview – about 16 minutes in length.
